Privacy Policy

Scope and contact
This policy applies to the iPhone and iPad app JournalPrint (手账拼印), maintained by its developer, 小事作坊 (MiniCraft). Last updated: October 16, 2026. For privacy questions or requests to delete feedback you have sent us, email zgzdoit@163.com.
Photos and layouts
Photos you select, covers, paper-page photos, cutout masks, page dimensions and layouts, templates, and print settings are stored locally in the app to support editing, saving, recovery, and print-file creation. No account is required. The developer does not operate a cloud library for your materials, and the app does not automatically upload this content to the developer. Original photos may retain existing metadata such as capture time, camera information, and GPS coordinates. The app does not request location access for this.
Camera, photo, and file access
The app uses the camera only when you choose to photograph a paper page or a finished page. AR size estimation processes camera frames, calibration, and spatial planes on your device. It saves only the photos you choose to use, corrected backgrounds, page corners, and dimension records; it does not save continuous video or an environment map. The app uses the system photo and file pickers to import only the items you select, rather than reading your entire photo library on its own. If you decline camera access, you can still select an existing photo or enter dimensions manually. You can revoke camera access in system Settings.
When you choose to save a photo sheet to Photos, the app requests add-only access. It does not read your entire photo library or modify or delete originals. You can save files or use system sharing if access is denied. Syncing saved images with iCloud Photos follows your own system settings.
Background removal and page-content detection
Person segmentation, foreground-subject segmentation, and detection of existing content on paper pages run on your device using Apple Vision and Core Image. No third-party cloud AI service is used. Background removal creates transparent images. The app does not build facial-identity profiles or use segmentation results to identify individuals.
Sharing, printing, and backups
Files are passed to the system and your chosen recipient only when you choose to share, save, or print them. Print PDFs contain the selected photos, not the scanned paper background or physical-item regions. PDFs do not embed capture metadata such as the source photo’s GPS coordinates, but the visible image itself may still contain private information. Layout-task ZIP backups include the original photos, masks, backgrounds, layouts, and other information needed to restore a task; original photos may contain capture metadata. Choose trusted destinations and recipients. The app has no automatic iCloud sync. System photo downloads, device backups, iCloud Drive, and other file services follow your own system and service settings.
Local retention and deletion
Local content is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. Items in Recently Deleted still occupy storage. You can permanently delete tasks from layout history; the app releases associated files while preserving references needed by other tasks, paper specifications, and valid recovery records. Materials still referenced elsewhere are not deleted. Clear Cache in Settings removes rebuildable thumbnails, PDFs, and temporary files, not original photos, scans, templates, or layouts. Associated tasks must be removed before deleting a paper specification. The app does not delete originals from your system photo library and cannot remove PDFs or ZIPs you have saved to Files, cloud storage, or shared with others. Export any task backups you want to keep before uninstalling.
Support email and optional test feedback
When you send feedback through TestFlight or email, Apple or the developer may receive the contact details, device and system information, version, problem description, screenshots, and crash diagnostics you submit. We use feedback only to investigate problems, reply, and improve the app, not for advertising tracking. Please avoid sending private original photos where possible, and obscure names, ticket numbers, and similar information in screenshots. Emails and attachments received by the developer are retained only as needed for support and investigation, then deleted when no longer needed. You may email us to request deletion of feedback materials held by the developer. Information Apple processes under its TestFlight rules is managed by Apple; requests to delete that information must be directed to Apple separately.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
The current version has no advertisements, third-party analytics SDKs, or behavioral tracking. We do not sell photos or feedback to data brokers or track users across apps. Appearance and language preferences are used only for the interface on your device. The app does not automatically upload usage records. TestFlight distribution itself may provide testing and diagnostic information through Apple.
These web pages
The privacy and support pages default to English, with Simplified Chinese available from the language switch. Language switching uses ordinary page links and does not store a language preference in your browser. These pages have no advertisements, analytics scripts, forms, or cookie functionality. When you visit them, the website hosting provider may process server logs such as your IP address and visit time to deliver and secure the service. This is separate from the app’s local photo processing. Email links open your own mail app; the developer receives your feedback only if you send an email.
Policy updates
If cloud storage, accounts, analytics, or other data-processing features are added in the future, we will update this policy and store disclosures accordingly, and notify you or obtain authorization where needed. You can use the email above to ask about current data handling.
Photo sheets and print settings
Photo sheets, layout habits, print-basket groups, device and material settings, user-entered prices and measurement history stay on your device and are not automatically uploaded. Cutouts are processed locally and originals are retained. JPEG, PNG and PDF exports render pixels without the original GPS metadata. Backups contain originals and settings needed for recovery; original files may still carry metadata. Files are passed to Photos or system sharing only when you choose to save or share them. Layout habits save layout rules and placeholder geometry, without copying the source photos into the habit. Deleting a habit does not delete the photo sheets already created from it.
